Hello I know it’s still classed as Christmas but I’m wondering if you could help we brought two puppies home late evening on the 21st and on the 25th the vets had to put them to sleep. There wasn’t anything else what could be done for them they’d been having treatment since the 23rd for several things but in the end they diagnosed them with Parvovirus, our vets confirmed they’d been poorly for a while and the breeder had neglected them but she’s taking no responsibility. She is refusing us any help her come back is that she offered to take them back and refund us while they were alive which we weren’t prepared to do as she was the reason they got into that state in the first place. She didn’t even care enough to microchip them which is against the law and I’m trying to gather as much knowledge as possible to get justice for what my babies went through, they were only 8 weeks old and had been through so much suffering.

We didn’t get any documents, they weren’t KC registered, they was advertised on Pets4Homes and Gumtree. I have the post from Gumtree.

We collected them from the house but were only a loud inside the door as the rest of the downstairs rooms had dogs in. We paid cash, we know should’ve done more but after considering rehoming them we couldn’t leave them in such poor conditions. I have messages still from everything that’s ever been said between us and the seller, she has no care in the world that they’ve ended up being put to sleep.

She didn’t vaccinate or microchip the pups, they’d never seen a vet before we took them. We have the address, name and phone number of the seller.

We have the date we purchased them as it’s in the texts and a close time to when we got the pup’s as well. It was late evening we have everything from the vets. I sent the seller proof of the vets letters and even gave her the vets number so she can ring and ask for herself. Which she didn’t! We have messages of what we paid and my mum went with him to collect the pups. She hasn’t denied they’ve not seen a vet or anything she said we was in the wrong for buying a puppy without a microchip or vaccines and we should’ve asked about their health ect so she clearly knew they was poorly.

She has said the rest of the litter have no issues to which I asked for proof, she never responded to that message. We have no other dogs so they didn’t get parvo from us and parvo has an incubation stage of 5-10 days so definitely didn’t get poorly from being with us.

The vets said they’d been poorly for a while and she neglected them. At the moment we’re contacting RSPCA trying to get in touch with trading standards. The Vets said the police should be informed and able to do something, but I’m not sure if we want to take her to court. We are going to try mediation first to at least try and allow her to own up to how awful she’s been.

We didn’t see mum with the puppies or the other puppies. We saw mum through the backyard gate. The seller brought the two pups to the front door as we were stood inside. There was one large dog and three other pups not sure if they were from the same litter, they were shut up in the lounge and there was another dog in the kitchen.

We saw her as she brought the girl pup to us the little boy was cowering against the bottom step. She never offered for us to hold them and there was 2 or 3 children stood on the stairs with a man, her elder son standing at the metal garden gate which was the door to the kitchen. The seller didn’t have an accent. I’ve also just found out she has another litter of pups back in April. The sellers name is Steph Herman. She is also part of a Staffy puppy selling group so is most likely also breeding another dog too.

This isn’t the litter we brought from this is another litter I’ve found she’s had this year the discussion that took place with us was on text I can have my partner send them to me but they’re quite long. My partners just confirmed she’s had 3 litters this year and they don’t have a license.

We’ve contracted the RSPCA and emailed Trading Standards but waiting to hear back from the RSPCA, they said it was a trading standards issue. I will be ringing again as there’s other animals there that are likely being neglected I don’t know how to report them!

I also sent her proof of all the letters from the vets, altogether the bills have cost over £500 and we still have an outstanding bill we have to pay within the next 30 days.

Blue tri xl bully cross white husky she said they were born 25.10.21 they were supposed to be 8 weeks but the advert said 9 that’s why I asked about their birth date. Also we needed to know for booking them at the vets for jabs ect. The vets said they look to be around 8 weeks of age.
