Hi we have been sent your link. We are looking for some advice we brought a beautiful golden show spaniel puppy on the 13th of this month in the evening by the morning of the 14th I took her for a check up in the vets as I learnt she hadn't been vaccinated & she had diarrhea & wasn't eating very well, the vets felt she was probably only around 6 weeks & hoped the diarrhea would stop just to keep fluids going & persist with food etc I took her again on the 15th & 16th & they have pro bitotics, pureed food & electrolytes to try but by the 17th she was vomiting so I took her in as an emergency & she has started becoming dehydrated.

She was admitted put on a drip with fluids. Antibiotics & pain relief & they discovered she had campylobacter, she seemed to turn a corner on the evening of the 18th but by the 19th they rang to say the pain relief wasn't working as well & she was struggling they thought that the infection had turned her guts into themselves & she was to weak & small for surgery we went in & after seeing her cry in pain made the heart breaking decision to put her to sleep it has devastated us.

The breeders have only responded once to my messages to say they aren't at fault & haven't responded since.
Nothing will bring Lettie back but where do we go from here with stopping these people putting any other family through this heartbreak. We can’t stop rethinking the last few hours we spent with Lettie, how things should of been different.
