Winston

My daughter bought a puppy, she saw him advertised on Gumtree. We met the seller outside, he said he lived in the flat. On the record it says he was vaccinated and microchipped on the 5th October we got him on the 6th, so he’s been brought right over as soon as he’s been done. It’s heart breaking, he only gave us a post code. The adverts have been deleted, we think it’s because it’s been reported not only by my daughter but must be the others that’s bought Winston’s siblings. The name was A, that was it. The date was 05/10/21 we got him on the 06/10/21 and we contacted him through Gumtree messenger.

Winston is in quite a bad way he’s been kept in the Vet’s on antibiotics fluids and glucose drips, they never expected him to last the night but he’s pulled through. He was stable today the sickness and diarrhoea has stopped but they are a bit concerned because he’s still very sleepy. We’ve contacted the Vet in Ireland obviously they can’t give out breeders information but hoping they contact RSPCA from that end. We have reported the Gumtree ad and when we did someone else had already reported it, as it was under investigation. We went back over to the meeting point to have a look and spoke to the concierge of the flats, he said dogs aren’t allowed and that he knows everyone from the flats and no Irish live there.

I don’t know about the siblings, when we met him he told us he still had a bitch left and when we phoned the vet in Ireland they confirmed there was 5 puppies all in with the litter. All vaccinated wormed and chipped at the same time.

We never thought we would be caught up in something like this. I’m more gutted for poor wee Winston. We’ve not had good news he’s not doing good, the Vets are phoning PDSA to see if they’ve to give him another 24 hours if they say no their putting him to sleep 💔 he’s no white blood cells left to fight the infection I’m so gutted 😔 xx
